Thanks for the policy. It's gotten so that I only read and comments blogs that have some sort of moderation. Otherwise the vitriol and ignorance are too much.

Thanks also for the brilliant post on subsidized birth control. A friend's wife (not American) will soon be moving to the U.S., and he asked me to give her an outline of what to expect re: women's health and U.S. insurance companies.

"Well, for starters, insurance companies don't like to cover the costs associated with pregancy and childbirth. Except they also don't like to cover the costs associated with prescription birth control...." It just got grimmer from there.

It's kind of sad that some people need a reminder....
